There is no way to currently use the Control Panel to modify programs on affected computers at the moment.

I have also been able to confirm that opting to enable or disable an active network connection also causes the crash.

I came back a couple of hours later and the crashes were back! My next step was going to be to try the permissions changes CKing123 was suggesting but I have a couple of questions: - When you say go to the properties of the folder, do you mean C:\Windows, since that's where resides? I see 6 or 7 names listed, including New User, which I how I'm logged in.

Sounds like I need to log in as whoever is the Owner, correct?

In the last few days before Windows 10 is unleashed on a largely unsuspecting world, Microsoft has released a number of updates.

These are just regular, everyday updates rather than new builds of the preview, but one of those released over the weekend has been causing problems.

Welcome to the Windows 10 Forums where you can ask questions or find answers on anything related to the new operating system from Microsoft.

I am sure it will be back with a restart though I have tried everything...please help..

I've upgraded to windows 10 on release and have been away on holiday for the past 2 weeks.

Today I come back to find keeps restarting about once every 2 mins and is causing full screen games to minimise and change the computer focus to nothing which is very frustrating I've searched the web and cannot find any solutions so far.

I'm looking for someone's who's willing to go through it step by step to try and diagnose the issue.

Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates.

Irritatingly, I found that I was able to disable the network adapter on my Surface Pro, but when I tried to re-enable it, the Explorer crash bug reared its head. So if you have disabled your network adapter since installing the update, what can you do to get it re-enabled?
